The Q&A Archives: Flowers for Hanging Baskets

Question: What flowers do you recommend for making hanging baskets?

Answer: You can use many annuals in hanging baskets depending on your taste. Your choice is limited by the type of lighting they will receive and to some extent by the size of the basket. For example, for shade you could use caladiums, impatiens or begonias; for sun you could use black-eyed Susan vine (Thunbergia), sweet potato vine, scaevola, petunias, or a base-branching geranium such as the "Summer Showers" series.
