When is the appropiate time to prune Goldflame Spirae, and Witchazel? Thank You

It's always best to prune flowering shrubs immediately after they've finished flowering. Your witchazel has probably finished blooming now and can be pruned. As soon as the spirea has finished its display, you can prune it. Both plants will use the summer season to develop flower buds for next year's display.
