The Q&A Archives: Genetically Engineered Seeds

Question: Are your vegetable seeds genetically engineered? I want to avoid those type of seeds in my own vegetable garden. Thanks

Answer: Probably the surest way to avoid altered seeds is to purchase only heirloom varieties. The Burpee Catalog lists a number of heirloom and "old-fashioned" varieties of many commonly grown veggies. (An example of an heirloom tomato is Brandywine.) Visit the Burpee website and request a catalog if you don't already have one.
