I have had an african violet for six months and when I bought it there were nice flowers. It now seems very healthy, the leaves and stems are strong but it never has bloomed again. I use the african violet food. It is near a window with the west sun but not direct. I have it planted in a glass container approx. 7" diam. x 2 1/4" deep. Please advise. Thank you.

If the foliage seems healthy and you are fertilizing, then the most common reason for lack of bloom is lack of light. The western sun can be very hot, but you might try gradually increasing the light the plant receives, although with the longer days we are now getting that may be enough of an increase to do the trick. Another possibility that comes to mind is, if you repotted it, the plant may still be adjusting to the larger pot; African violets tend to do better in slightly undersized pots relative to their size and that diameter sounds a bit large.
