The Q&A Archives: When To Plant Strawberries?

Question: When is a good time to plant strawberries in my area?

Answer: Strawberries are typically planted in very early spring so they can come out of (semi)dormancy naturally with the season and have as much time as possible to root and become established before the heat of summer. Bare root plants are usually planted as soon as they become available and the soil can be worked.
