I would like to plant a evergreen shrub in a pot to help screen our neighbours. It has to go into a pot. Would a pieris be suitable for this purpose, or would that be too large? If it is suitable for this, how big should the pot be? |
Pieris is a lovely evergreen plant which produces early spring bloom and has interesting juvenile foliage color. It can be grown in a container providing you water and fertilize regularly. Begin with a 5-7 gallon pot and graduate up as the plant matures. Choose a pot with adequate drainage holes and fill it with a good commercial potting mix rather than garden soil. With proper care your pieris should thrive in a decorative pot. |
