The Q&A Archives: Finding Plants On Www

Question: I'm surprised that you do not offer Gomphrena. Wayside does not
have it either. Burpee has it, but only in mixed
colors (I want red only). My Question:

Other than a general search engine like Google,
is there a special garden-search engine or web site that can be used to locate
hard-to-find seeds and plants?

Answer: "Strawberry Fields" the only truly red variety of gomphrena and it is available through Pinetree Garden Seeds, PO Box 300, New Gloucester, ME 04260 or among others.

In my experience, a search on an engine such as google (using the Latin name) is highly effective in most instances IF the source has an online presence.
