| There are several simple approaches to controlling this pest. One is to make a very thorough cleanup of all plant debris during the season and in the fall. The second is to cover the plants with a floating row cover (summer weight) to exclude the bugs. If you do this, you will need to remove it periodically to allow for pollination or do that by hand using a soft bristled brush. Last, patrol the plants early in the season watching for eggs on the underside of the foliage, and remove the eggs. |
