Many bulbs can be successfully grown in containers and can be planted directly into them. For most summer blooming bulbs, warm soil temperature and sunshine (except for caldium and tuberous begonia) are important to their success. For most spring blooming bulbs, a simulated winter chilling period is critical to their bloom performance. Typical care would of course depend on the type of bulb you are growing.
