When To Start Seeds - Knowledgebase Question

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THIS IS A GOOD TIME TO START MY SEEDS INSIDE. I LIVE IN ZONE 6.

The answer to your question depends on what seeds you are starting. Most seed packets will indicate a suggested number of weeks to start them indoors, prior to the last expected frost date in your area, if the seeds are amenable to transplanting. (A typical timing would be 6 to 8 weeks, but some are twice that and some less.) Also, some seeds are usually started in the garden where they are to grow either because they grow very fast or because they do not transplant well.
