You would be able to germinate pumpkin seeds and grow a vine for at least a while. However, it would be difficult to grow an actual pumpkin on the vine for a number of reasons. The plant needs full sun to grow and bloom well outside during the summer, so indoors it would need plenty of supplemental light; and it needs lots of soil and lots of space because it is a large plant. You would need to pollinate it by hand, too.
