| We have several Blue Spruce that are dieing from the bottom up. First the lower branches lose their color then die. This condition goes up the tree and leaves what looks like white bird droppings on the branches. So far this has spread from tree to tree and we have three trees with this condition two of the trees will have to come out. It has just started on the third. What is it and how do I stop it? |
| Unfortunately, it sounds like your trees are suffering from an infestation problem and it is apparently spreading. You might want to take a sample and possibly a photo to your county extension (473-2540) for a specific identification of the problem and recommendations for what to do about it. If a chemical treatment should be necessary, they will be able to give you the most up to date recommendations for what to use and how and when to treat it. I'm sorry I can't be more specific. |
