Is the Coreopsis Grandiflora suitable for container gardens. If so, how many plants do you recommend for a 23" diameter planter?

It can grow in a container. A general guideline is to plan for the mature size of a plant, so it has room to grow without being crowded. 'Early Sunrise' spreads 12-16 inches; 'Flying Saucer' spreads 18 inches.
