I recently purchased a carolina jessamine. I was unfamiliar with the vine when I bought it. I had no idea that it was supposed to be an evergreen vine. Mine has no leaves or anything on it. Is this normal for this time of year or is mine dead? I did break one branch and it is green inside. |
If the branch tissue is still green, the vine should be viable. It can be semi-evergreen if temperatures are cold, so it may have dropped its leaves. I think your vine will sprout new growth as spring arrives and it becomes established. Keep soil moist, but not wet until roots establish. This vine does best in full sun, but it can tolerate some shade. Good luck! |
