| Unfortunately, carob trees are not hardy in your climate. Here is a little information about carob, though, just for fun. Carob (Ceratonia siliqua) trees may fruit in approximately six years with the fruit taking about eleven months to ripen on the tree. These trees reach a typical mature size of 30 or 40 feet. Although some trees are hermaphrodites, generally you would need both a male and female tree for fruiting.
