Will the Shortcake Everbearing Strawberries produce fruit the first season? If so, should the first blooms be removed?

With everbearers, any blossoms present at planting would usually still be removed in order to allow the plants to devote their energy to becoming established. They should bear later in the season, however, once they are established and growing well. Make sure to keep them well watered, weeded and mulched and fertilized for best results.
