I would like to know if there is a flowering plant that will thrive underneath pine trees. These pines have had the branches removed about 6ft up the trunk. this leaves an ulgy space that needs something! |
It is difficult to plant under mature pines because the trees are such tough competition. Sometimes you can establish a ground covering blanket of English ivy with some spring bulbs growing up through it. Alternatively, perhaps this would be a good spot for a bench and a large container such as a half barrel of colorful annuals. |
