The house I moved into has a rock garden with trumpet vine throughout, which has now spread under a fence and is destroying the fence. I read in your Q&A that the best way to eradicate these is to dig them up, but this can not be done because of the rock garden going very deep into the soil. Any other suggestions? |
Trumpet vine or campsis radicans can be very difficult to eradicate, even with repeated cutting the roots seem to have endless reserves and will resprout repeatedly. You may want to treat it with an herbicide containing glyphosate being careful to read and follow the label directions. |
