I have searched your site and the local university extension service and can find nothing on growing huckleberrys in South Carolina. Is it possible?

I won't say it's impossible, but it's not a likely candidate to thrive. The plant is native to the Pacific Northwest, which has a considerably different climate from yours. Sunset's National Garden Book doesn't rate it for your zone. So, I'd recommend trying something else!
