Bagworms seem to prefer arborvitae and red cedars, but they will also attack mugo pines and many other plants. Since the mugo pines are smaller plants, it is easier to remove the bagworms by hand early and keep the population under control before it becomes extensive. If there are bagworm problems in your neighborhood then keep an eye out for them on all of your plants.
