The Q&A Archives: Weird Growth On Pink Jasmine

Question: My pink jasmine has these little black balls growing from it. It looks almost like a berry. It is most definitly growing from the plant. Is it a disease of some sort? There are only a few of them, but I am not sure what they are.

Answer: Some jasmine set seeds so what you're seeing are probably seed containing berries. The seeds may be viable and you can try germinating them. Separate from the fleshy berry, then sow in moistened potting mix and keep at 70-75 degrees. Viable seed will germinate in 20-25 days.
