The Q&A Archives: Moving Bulbs

Question: I recently moved across the street I planted a lot of bulbs at the old house and would like to move many to my new home how soon can i start? i have tulips daffodils narcissis etc . i really would like to pick them up as soon as possible New people have kids and dog

Answer: You can move them any time this spring, before during or after they bloom. Dig as large a root ball as possible and replant immediately at the same depth. Water well to settle the soil. Make sure to allow the foliage to grow and mature and dry fully before removing it this spring. Most of them will not realize they have been moved.
