I would like to grow passion flower "incense" but I cannot find a nursery with any plants available. However, I have been able to track down the seeds. Could you tell me if growing passion flowers from seed is as productive as growing from a root cutting that one would purchase from a nursery? I don't want to wait 20 years to have my vine flower! Thank you for your advice. - Stephanie |
Passiflora seeds are difficult to germinate but once the seedlings are up and growing they will produce 15'-20' vines in the first year. Soak seed for 12 hours in warm water then sow 1/4" deep in flats and keep at 80F. Seeds will germinate in 30-365 days. |
