| I need to know how to get my camelia sinensis seeds to grow.....I'm not sure but I don't think they get enough heat in my window.....What should I do and what is the lowest temp when they are seeds, and plants? (these are in my south window and stay very warm except at night they are just in potting soil so it may be a pH thing too) |
| Seeds of Camellia sinensis have a pre-soak, pre-chill requirement before they'll germinate. Soak the seeds for 48 hours, then place in moist growing medium and place in the freezer for 3 weeks. Remove, sow in moistened seed starting mix, and provide daytime temperatures of 70-75 degrees. Seeds should sprout in 8-10 weeks. Good luck with your seeds! |
