Can you recommend some flower to plant in flower boxes for my patio. Temperatures range from the mid 80's to high 90's during summer months and the sun in Colorado is very dry. The plants either get morning or afternoon light. I am trying to get some ideas to make my flower pots and boxes very full and cascading like a hanging geranium for example.

Petunias, gazania, scaevola, and vincas hang down and will take heat and sun. It's usually a good idea to plant some flowers that stand up in the middle, as well, to create a full look. Salvia, marigold, zinnia, tithonia, cosmos and coreopsis will take sun and heat. Good luck with your containers!
