The Q&A Archives: Can Moonflowers And Morning Glories Grow Together?

Question: I grew moonflowers and morning glories in the same window box last year and they didn't do well at all it seemed like the morning glories choked out the moonflowers...did I just have them planted to densely or are these vines not good together?

Answer: These vines like the same kind of growing conditions so they should do well together (they are related, in fact). The vines are large and need ample root space, water and sunlight to grow their best. They may have been too crowded.
