Now that the bulbs have come up and are blooming that I planted last fall, I've decided that I'm not pleased with the layout. I would like to dig them up and replant them for next season. Please give me tips as to when the right time to do this would be. The main types of bulbs are tulips and hyacinths. |
All bulbs can be dug and moved, but wait until the foliage dies down on its own before digging them. Leaves transport energy to the bulbs for next year's bloom and it's important to allow the process to finish completely before removing the leaves at ground level. Once the leaves have died down you can dig and replant your tulip and hyacinth bulbs. |
