Hornwort (Ceratophylum demersum) is grown in ornamental ponds and aquariums and is a heavy nitrogen user, although it is not actually a rooted plant. It is not winter hardy in colder zones.

I am unable to locate any information about a plant named caboa. However, Cabomba caroliniana is sometimes grown as an aquarium plant or in ornamental ponds to serve as an oxygenator. It also grows in the wild and is hardy to zone 6.
