When and how should I plant poppys/baby's breath. Can I plant the seeds directly in the soil outdoors?

Neither like being transplanted; sowing seed directly is best. They both prefer cool temperatures so sow in early spring after your last frost. Poppies need light to germinate so don't cover with soil. They do self-sow once established. They take about 15 days to germinate. Baby's breath seeds should be lightly covered with soil and take about 10 days to germinate. Keep seeds consistently moist but not too wet until germination.
