I have a flower bed in front of my house and I planted creeping phlox. The phlox have taken over. I want to keep some of the phlox, but I don't know what would do well with it. The flower bed is in full sun for 80% of the day.

Creeping phlox is by nature a ground covering plant and will crowd out other plants if given the opportunity. You will need to divide it frequently to keep it small. For this reason it is not usually used for a flower bed with other plants. Some other sun loving plants would include purple coneflower, achillea, coreopsis, salvias, bearded iris and daylilies.
