Gypsophila paniculata is native to Europe and Siberia, G. oldhamiana is native to Korea, G. repens is native to the Pyrenees and European Alps. This according to "Perennials for American Gardens" by Ruth Rogers Clausen and Nicolas H. Ekstrom 1989 edition, ISBN Q-394-55740.
