Please Help!!! My next door neighbor decided to park rusty old rusty cars next to our house and to put up a basketball hoop. I am looking for a fast growing tree/shrub to block them out. I wanted to put up a fence, however my husband thought a shrub/bush/tree would absorb the sound better and not annoy the rest of the neighborhood.

I would appricate any and all help you can provide. The sun exposure is part shade to full sun.

There are many trees or shrubs you could use, from forsythia to lilac to arborvitae, yew or juniper, but they will take several years to reach an effective size. You could also try a fence with a vine growing on it to soften the look. Your local zoning ordinance may also include provisions for junk vehicles and/or noise.
