The Q&A Archives: Daffodil And Tulip Leaves Eaten

Question: I have noticed a lot of my daffodil and tulip leaves eaten by a rabbit and/or squirels? What can be done to deter them?

Answer: You might try some of the commercially formulated repellent sprays or a home made one based on garlic and/or red pepper. You could also try a wire mesh cage over your plants. Some gardeners report success using a pet dog or cat on patrol. If deer are the culprit, a tall fence might be the answer.
