In your long-summer growing region you can sow seeds of warm-season vegetables by May 1st. Tomatoes, squash, eggplant, peppers and corn will perform reliably for you if planted then. After harvesting your veggies in late summer you can sow seeds of cool-season veggies such as cabbage and lettuces for a late-fall harvest.
