Question: can sunflowers be planted in planters? if yes...what type? how deep?

Answer: The smaller varieties of sunflowers (four foot or so) may be grown in large containers such as half barrels, and the smallest types such as "Elf" may be grown in a smaller container. Plant the seeds as indicated on the packet instructions.
