Question: One of my 2 pompass grass is looking sad, not any flowers on it, would it be a good idea to cut it back?

Answer: Ornamental grasses should be cut back in early spring before the new growth resumes. If it has already begunt o grow from the base, take care not to cut off the new growth when you trim away the old dead material.
