I'm moving to California next month, and I hear there are restrictions on bringing plants into the state. Please advise on whether I can bring my plants with me in the moving truck. Thank you!

The California Department of Food and Agriculture has very strict standards on plant material. For starters, they will inspect your plants at the border.

You should contact them directly if you have questions about your plants, however the FAQ at the following web address may help you in the meantime.

There is some additional information about the importance of pest control and the rationale at their general website:

All the best with your move.
