What type of shrubs can I plant that grow here (zone 9) and that will grow to at least 6 feet and grow quickly (to use as dividing hedge between our yard and the neighbor's)? I'd prefer something with some color. |
Photinia frazeri sounds like the perfect candidate for you. It grows 10'15' high with an equal width. The 5" long leaves are bright, bronzy red when new, maturing to a deep green. Mature plants produce white flower clusters in the spring. Provide full sun for best growth, and average but well draining soil. |
