They are predicting 30 degrees for a low tomorrow night. I planted my iris 2 years ago, only getting 2 blooms last year. This year I have about at least 20 stems with buds, & don't know if I should (somehow) try to cover them. If so, how?

Although iris are quite cold tolerant and seem to withstand the ups and downs of spring weather pretty well, if you are worried you could cover them with a spun woven row cover or frost blanket, or possibly with an ordinary sheet or old shower curtain or something similar. Be sure to remove it in the morning.
