Mandevilla is a tropical plant and must be brought indoors each winter. It does well in a very sunny location and should be kept evenly moist and well supplied with a regular fertilization program. Provide a trellis for it to climb as it supports itself by twining. You may plant it outside in the gournd after all danger of frost and once the soil has warmed up, however you will have to dig it up and bring it in in the fall if you want to keep it for more than this season.
