I planted my hydrangea I bought at Lowes about 4 days ago. The day affter I planted it it wilted. Did I plant it to soon? I watered it and it did not perk up. Is it aa lost cause? |
Sounds as though your hydrangea is just going through transplant shock. I think it will perk up once it gets used to its new home. Hydrangea's often wilt in the afternoon sunshine even when they're well-established. Such wilting is not a cause for great alarm - the leaves and stems should return to normal by morning. If yours gets direct sunshine in the afternoon provide some protection until it's strong enough to hold its own against the elements. |
