Rodent Eating Roots Of Lupines - Knowledgebase Question

Last fall I planted 12 plants of sturdy lupines.by spring I have 3 left, and it looks like I might lose another. I find a small tunnel at the surface the size o a quarter with the roots gone.

Unfortunately, it sounds like you may have a vole at work. The best control methods include trapping. You might want to contact your county extension for their suggestions as to how best to trap or otherwise control these rodents.
