I purchased an moth orchid from Garden.com last year. It is finally starting to bloom again, but the shoot with the flowers is very short. Yesterday it broke off. Is there some way I can get that stem to root so I can still save the orchid and get it to flower this year? And, will the plant come back next year and grow again, or should I just throw it out?

Unfortunately, there is no way to repair it. The plants bloom just once a year. You must have taken good care of it since it came into bloom again. Continue as you have been and you should enjoy blooms again next year. I'm sorry about the stem.
