The Q&A Archives: Preventing Rabbits From Eating My Flowers!

Question: What (natural - non-harmful) substance can I use to keep rabbits from eating any
perennials I try to grow? will marigolds work?

Answer: Unfortunately, there are no surefire planting solutions, although some gardeners find that garlic, chives and other onions will deter them. You could try the repellent sprays on the plants, either the commercially formulated types or home made based on garlic and/or red pepper. You could also try fencing the rabbits out.
