Hi, we had a early warm spring so yes, I planted some annuals zinnia and maragold early now I have frost and most of my early seedlings have been frost bite. My ? is will the seedlings recover from the frost damage or will I have to replant them all? Thanks, constance |
Unfortunately, to some extent it depends on how severely they were frozen, marigolds are far more frost tolerant than zinnias. It is also partly a function of soil temperature as well. Again, marigolds will tolerate cooler soil than zinnias prefer. The plant may simply stall for a little while or they may be stunted as a result. The only way to tell is to wait and see what happens. |
