Seeds should be started indoors in February or March, sowing in peat pots and providing bottom heat. When seedlings are about 1' tall, plant them outdoors. When flowering begins rogue out the female plants but leave the male plants in the bed. Female flowers have 3-lobed pistils; male flowers are larger and longer than female flowers.
