Aglaonema modestum, the Chinese Evergreen, seems to thrive on neglect. Provide warm household temperatures (minimum 60F in winter), low to semi-bright light - no direct sunlight, and regular water from spring to autumn with little water during the winter months. Moist air is necessary - mist your plant daily and fertilize lightly in spring and again mid-summer with a diluted liquid fertilizer. Repot only every 3 years (spring is best).
