Pussy willows are already rooted. Where and when is the best place/time to plant? Should they be planted one stalk at a time or put a bunch together, etc. Thank you

If the pussy willows are still in the vase, you might try planting them in a pot with moist soilless mix so they can develop additional roots in soil prior to planting them outside. Keep them in a very bright location and keep the soil moist.

If they are already in a pot, begin acclimating them to the outdoors gradually while protecting them from freezing. Once the weather has settled and your frost date has passed, plant them outdoors. Be sure to keep the soil moist while they are becoming established.

Pussy willow is actually a small tree, becoming bushy from repeated trimming to harvest the catkins each winter. You could plant several stems together, but it is not necessary.
