The Q&A Archives: Brightly Colored Summer Blooms

Question: what plants would be best in my area if I wanted something bright and colorful and something that would bloom all summer.

Answer: For plants that bloom all summer you would probably want to use annuals. Nearly all annuals are colorful, but perhaps the most brightly colored are petunia, zinnia, marigold, salvia, gladiolus and for a mid to late season freshener, dahlia.
