I am looking for a flowering ground cover for a sloping area to prevent erosion. The soil is also not the greatest. Any suggestions? |
Some of the best groundcover candidates are tough enough to tolerate minimal watering and deep-rooted enough to help stablize slopes. Those that grow well in sunny sites include Achillea, Arctostaphylos, Arundinaria pygmaea, Cotoneaster, Euonymus fortunei (wintercreeper), Hypericum and Verbena. Euonymus does not bloom but there are varieties with variegated foliage which will add interest to the area. |
